Job Description

We are seeking a board-certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a 40-day locum tenens assignment in Ohio. This opportunity begins on Mar 2, 2026, with multiple 24-hour on-call shifts scheduled throughout March, April, and May. The surgeon will manage a wide range of cardiothoracic, vascular, and thoracic procedures in a high-acuity setting.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform general cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgeries
  • Conduct coronary artery bypass surgery
  • Address congenital cardiac defects
  • Execute valvular repairs and replacements
  • Repair aneurysms
  • Perform lung resections, including VATs
  • Manage chest wall and pleural procedures
  • Conduct surgeries involving the esophagus and diaphragm
  • Perform endarterectomy (carotid and renal)
  • Oversee ventilation management and bronchoscopy
  • Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues


Additional Information

  • Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery required
  • Active Ohio medical license required
  • Must have a clean professional record
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • COVID vaccination required (noted at time of name clear)
  • Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation required
  • Must be able to cover all listed assignment dates
