Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our client's team in Kentucky for a 12-day assignment, starting Dec 24, 2024, with shifts from 7 AM to 7 AM and out-of-house call. This physician will manage 1-2 CT surgical cases daily, performing adult cardiac surgery including CABG and heart valve procedures, general thoracic surgery, ICU management of high-risk cases, and structural heart procedure support.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage an average of 1-2 cardiothoracic surgical cases per day.
- Perform adult cardiac surgery, including CABG (arterial revascularization using internal mammary arteries, radial artery; redo cases) and heart valve repair/replacement surgery.
- Conduct general thoracic surgery procedures, such as tube thoracostomy, tracheostomy, bronchoscopy, VATS decortication/lung biopsy, and pericardial window.
- Provide ICU management for high-risk cases, including Impella insertion/removal/bailout and medical management of critically ill patients.
- Offer structural heart procedure support within a hybrid OR/cath lab setting.
- Work in facilities equipped with one heart operating room and one hybrid operating room.
