Physician Assistant - Surgery - Cardiothoracic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant for a 10-day assignment in Ohio, commencing Sep 8, 2026. This role involves Monday-Friday 8 AM - 5 PM shifts with floor call/beeper coverage from 3 PM - 7 AM, focusing on comprehensive post-operative care for cardiothoracic and vascular patients, emergency surgeries, and essential duties like vein harvesting and consultations.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide post-operative care for cardiothoracic and vascular patients
• Perform emergency surgeries on cardiothoracic and vascular patients
• Take consults and referrals from the ED, Cath Lab, and other hospital providers
• Perform vein harvesting during heart surgery
• Assist in surgery
• Write prescriptions
• Coordinate patient care
• Conduct patient rounding
• Interpret tests
• Order tests
• Perform retrieval of vascular tissues for use as a bypass conduit
