Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Physician for an engaging locum tenens assignment in Louisiana. This role begins on Nov 9, 2026, and involves critical perioperative echo capabilities to assist surgical decisions for valve surgeries. The Physician will handle a variety of thoracic surgical cases, including robot-assisted procedures, and utilize extensive echo experience for structural heart cases such as watchmen, PFO closures, and mitraclip.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide perioperative echo certification with strong echo capability
  • Assist surgical decisions for valve surgeries
  • Engage in 90 percent supervision, with occasional independent cases
  • Manage a variety of thoracic surgical cases, including robot-assisted procedures
  • Utilize extensive echo experience for structural heart cases such as watchmen, PFO closures, and mitraclip
