Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Anesthesiologist for our client in Florida, embarking on an 84-day assignment starting Oct 5, 2026. This role features a Monday through Friday schedule, offering shifts of 7a-3p, 7a-5p, or 7a-7p, complemented by required call and weekend responsibilities, often within a 2 weeks on/1 week off rotation. The Physician will manage a comprehensive spectrum of cases including General Surgery, OB/Gyn, Ortho, Urology, GI, and critical cardiac procedures such as CABG, Valves, and TAVR, while performing 70% of cases independently and supervising 30%.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage a wide variety of cases including General Surgery, OB/Gyn/GYO, Ortho, Urology, GI, Cath Lab, CVL, Endo, Ent, and spines.
  • Perform specialized cardiac procedures such as CABG, Valves, TAVR, Mitraclip, LAA ligation, and EP.
  • Handle a majority of Ortho, General, and GYN/GYO/OB cases.
  • Maintain a schedule of 20 minimum shifts per month, working Monday thru Friday with shifts ranging from 7a-3p, 7a-5p, to 7a-7p.
  • Participate in a call schedule and weekend rotations, often following a 2 weeks on/1 week off cardiac schedule.
  • Oversee 70% of own cases while supervising 30%.
  • Staffing model includes two Cardiac Physicians on site Monday – Friday, with one on call M-Fr 5p-7a, Sat. & Sun 7a-7a.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Anesthesiology is required.
  • A valid Florida State License is mandatory.
  • Anticipate a 90-day credentialing timeframe.
  • The EMR system utilized is Medaxion.
