Job Description

Our client in Florida is seeking a Cardiac Anesthetist for a 100-day assignment beginning Aug 24, 2026. This full-time role involves a demanding schedule, including weekend shifts and participation in an in-house call rotation, with various shift lengths from 10 to 14 hours. The Anesthetist will perform a full range of procedures, including regional blocks, spinals, and central and arterial line placement, while managing diverse cases such as Cardiac, Orthopedics, General, Neurosurgery, Vascular, Endo, GYN, Robotics, and Trauma cases in a Trauma Center.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Be available to work weekends and maintain flexibility in scheduling
  • Perform a full range of procedures, including regional blocks, spinals, and central and arterial line placement
  • Manage various case types including Cardiac, Orthopedics, General, Neurosurgery, Vascular, Endo, GYN, Robotics, and Trauma (excluding Pediatrics and OB)
  • Participate in an in-house call rotation, averaging two shifts every six weeks for call (weekend in-house shifts of 10, 12, or 14 hours; weekday in-house shifts of 12, 13, 14 hours, and 3p-11p shifts M-F)
  • Provide full-time coverage to meet minimum shift requirements per month
  • Work within a Trauma Center with operating rooms
  • Collaborate within an Anesthesia Care Team (ACT) model consisting of 1Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers, with 90% supervision at a 1:4 ratio
  • Be cross-credentialed at West Marion Community Hospital for potential coverage needs
