Job Description

We are seeking an Anesthesiologist for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in New York, starting Dec 29, 2025. This opportunity features 24-hour on-call shifts (7am-7am), including some weekends, and covers a diverse case mix in general surgery, endoscopy, vascular, OB, ortho, bariatric surgery, and urogynecology.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide anesthesia services for general surgery, endoscopy, vascular, obstetrics, orthopedics, bariatric surgery, and urogynecology cases
  • Manage care in a setting with approximately 100 deliveries per month, supporting a large midwifery program with a 15% section rate and low epidural rate
  • Participate in weekend coverage as required
  • Ensure patient safety and adhere to clinical best practices
  • Collaborate with surgical and nursing teams as part of an integrated care approach

Additional Information
  • NY medical license required
  • Board certification in Anesthesiology required
  • NBCRNA, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • No cardiac, neurosurgery, or thoracic cases
