Job Description

We are seeking an Anesthesiologist Physician for a 120-day assignment in Florida, starting Jul 6, 2026. This role involves a Monday thru Friday schedule with 7am starts, averaging 40-45 hours per week, and includes required weeknight beeper call and weekend in-house and beeper call. The physician will manage a diverse range of cases including General Surgery, Neuro, Spine, Thoracic, and Ortho, performing required OB and basic regional procedures, and will engage in a mix of supervising residents/APPs and conducting own cases in specialized areas such as GI, TEE, EP, and IR.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage cases across General Surgery, Neuro, Spine, Thoracic, and Ortho, with a majority in Ortho, General, and OBGYN.
  • Perform required procedures including OB and basic regional blocks (TAP, Supraclavicular, Adductor Canal, Popliteal Blocks).
  • Handle an average of 800-900 cases per month.
  • Work Monday thru Friday with 7am starts, averaging 40-45 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility for 8 or 10-hour days or participation in a peel out list.
  • Participate in a 1:8 weeknight beeper call schedule, including 1st call (with post call day off) and 2nd call (rarely called in).
  • Engage in a 1:8 weekend call schedule, comprising in-house coverage on Saturday and Sunday from 7am to 6pm (covering in-house resident on OB and APP on beeper call for OR cases), plus weekend beeper call from Friday after shift until Monday AM (rarely called in).
  • Provide full-time coverage, with a minimum of 20 shifts per month.
  • Work across 9 operating rooms, 2 OB ORs, GI, TEE, EP, and IR.
  • Allocate approximately 60% of time to supervising residents/APPs in OR or OB, and 40% of time to managing own cases in GI/TEE/EP/IR.
