Job Description

We are seeking an Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens assignment in Florida, beginning Sep 29, 2025, with a 100-day commitment. This opportunity features flexible shift options, including 8-, 10-, and 12-hour OR schedules, with rotations for weekday and weekend in-house and beeper call coverage. The Anesthesiologist will join a care team model supporting a Trauma facility, working closely with other physicians and CRNAs to deliver high-quality perioperative care across a diverse range of surgical specialties.

  • Schedule: 8s, 10s, and 12s available; 7a-3p, 7a-5p; weekday in-house call (5p-7a) and in-house weekend coverage; call rotation includes in-house and beeper coverage


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide anesthesia care for a variety of surgical cases, including orthopedic, general surgery, vascular, ophthalmology, urology, neurosurgery, electrophysiology, plastic surgery, pain, GI, thoracic, ENT, OMFS, and select OB/GYN cases
  • Participate in a care team model
  • Manage anesthesia for Trauma cases (no hearts, no OB, no pediatric cases)
  • Perform required procedures, including trauma and regional ultrasound-guided techniques
  • Supervise and collaborate with advanced practice providers as needed (approximately 20% supervision)
  • Rotate through call schedules, including in-house and beeper call, as described in the job details
  • Document all patient information and care activities in the Epic EMR system
  • Adhere to all facility protocols and best practices for anesthesia care


Additional Information

  • Must have a current Florida medical license
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
  • Must have a clean background to facilitate expedited credentialing
  • Experience with Trauma and regional ultrasound procedures required
  • No board certification requirement specified
