Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for a 30-day locum tenens assignment in Vermont. Starting Feb 2, 2026, this position features weekday shifts (8 or 10 hours, Monday through Friday) in one of Vermont’s busiest operating rooms, with a minimum commitment of one week per month.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide general and regional anesthesia for a diverse case mix, including:
  • General surgery
  • OGYN
  • Urology
  • Acute pain management
  • Minimally invasive blocks
  • Trauma surgery
  • Pediatric (dental)
  • ENT
  • Colonoscopy and endoscopy
  • Cataract surgery
  • Rotate between inpatient operating rooms and the attached surgery center (3 ORs, 1 outpatient room)
  • Manage the full scope of preoperative and postoperative anesthesia care in both inpatient and outpatient settings


Additional Information

  • Vermont license required
  • Experience with trauma or critical care preferred but not required
  • Experience using Epic EMR
