Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Anesthetist for a 72-day assignment in Texas. This role requires 3x12 weekly shifts with one mandatory 24-hour OB weekend shift each month, offering flexibility for additional shifts if desired. The primary duties include medical direction, epidural placement, and managing a patient caseload focused mainly on obstetric cases with some general surgery.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide medical direction for patient care
- Perform epidural placements
- Manage a diverse caseload, primarily focused on obstetric patients with some general surgery cases
- Work 3x12 weekly shifts
- Fulfill one required 24-hour OB weekend shift per month
- Adhere to shift hours of 7a to 7p and 7a to 7a
Additional Information
- EMR: Meditech EHR
- Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Setting: Inpatient
- Call Schedule: No call required
- Patients per day: 3 to 5 patients per day
- LOA: 72 Days
- Staffing Mix: 2 MD/2 CRNA or AA during day shifts; 2 MD/1 CRNA or AA on nights and weekends. Facility features 25 operating rooms.
