Job Description

 Wellhart is seeking a skilled Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) for a locum tenens position in Texas. This 96-day assignment begins on 03/02/2026, at a clinic setting. The full-time schedule involves four 10-hour shifts per week, non-consecutive. The CAA will be responsible for providing medical direction for various cases including Orthopedics, Urology, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, and Gynecology. Proficiency with Cerner and Medaxion electronic health record systems is required. This opportunity offers the potential for extension beyond the initial assignment period.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide anesthesia care and medical direction for a variety of surgical cases

• Collaborate with the anesthesiology team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes

• Manage pre-operative assessments and post-operative care

• Utilize Cerner and Medaxion EHR systems for documentation and patient management

• Adapt to a diverse case load including Orthopedics, Urology, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, and Gynecology

• Maintain compliance with all facility policies and procedures

• Demonstrate excellent communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare team members


Additional Information:

• Texas medical license required

• Experience in Orthopedics, Urology, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, and Gynecology preferred

• Flexibility to work non-consecutive shifts as needed • Possibility of assignment extension
