Job Description

 Wellhart is seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) specializing in Anesthesiology for a locum tenens position in Texas. This 120-day assignment begins on 02/02/2026, at a clinic setting. The CRNA will work flexible schedules of either 4x10, 5x8, or 3x12 shifts. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience, a clean malpractice record, and be comfortable with medical direction and performing spinals. The role involves working with adult, geriatric, and adolescent patients across a wide range of surgical specialties, including gynecology, orthopedics, neurospine, general surgery, urology, endoscopy, interventional radiology, cardiovascular (including some open heart procedures), vascular, and robotic surgeries. Proficiency with the Epic electronic health record system is required. This opportunity offers the potential for extension beyond the initial assignment period.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide anesthesia care for a diverse range of surgical procedures

• Work under medical direction model

• Perform spinal anesthesia when required

• Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and develop appropriate anesthesia plans

• Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia as needed during procedures

• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative period

• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals

• Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and safety protocols

• Maintain accurate and timely medical records using Epic EHR system

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives as required


Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice in the state of Texas

• Current CRNA certification required

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CRNA

• Clean malpractice record

• Comfortable working with adult, geriatric, and adolescent patients

• Strong communication and teamwork skills essential
