Job Description

Our client in Pennsylvania seeks a skilled Anesthetist for a 90-day assignment, offering flexible 10 or 12-hour shifts. The successful candidate will manage anesthesia for a diverse range of cases including general, orthopedics, trauma, neurosurgery, and pediatrics, ensuring comprehensive patient care in the perioperative and procedural periods.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide anesthesia care for a wide range of cases including general, orthopedics, trauma, plastics, neurosurgery, pediatrics (ages 5 and up), endoscopy, NORA, robotic surgery, gynecology, and ENT.
• Exclude cases involving hearts, OB, or blocks.
• Assess, prepare, and manage patients throughout the perioperative and procedural periods.
• Develop and implement comprehensive anesthetic plans.
• Perform pre-anesthetic evaluations, history and physicals, and post-operative assessments.
• Obtain informed consent from patients.
• Administer various anesthesia techniques including General Anesthesia, Regional Anesthesia, Epidural Anesthesia, Spinal Anesthesia, IV Regional Block, and Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC).
• Perform invasive monitoring and placement, including CVP/CVC, pulmonary artery catheterization, and intra-arterial lines.
• Manage patient airways effectively.

• Board Certification: Anesthesiology
• Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• EMR: Cerner
• Setting: Outpatient (Clinic Only)
