Job Description

 We are seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens opportunity at a hospital in Pennsylvania. This assignment requires coverage for 60 days, starting 02/02/2026, with a 6:30 AM start time. The CRNA will provide anesthesia care in various settings, including the Main OR, On-Site ASC, GI Lab, EP Lab, and Radiology. The position offers flexible 8 or 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 3 shifts per week and a 6-month initial contract. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a high-volume environment, handling an average of 65 cases per day and specializing in surgical oncology cases with intraoperative chemoperfusion. This role involves hands-on anesthesia care and rotation to provide break/lunch coverage.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide expert anesthesia care in various settings (Main OR, ASC, GI Lab, EP Lab, Radiology)

• Manage complex surgical oncology cases, including those with intraoperative chemoperfusion

• Perform pre-anesthetic assessments and develop appropriate anesthesia plans

• Administer and monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures

• Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

• Rotate to provide break and lunch coverage for colleagues

• Maintain accurate and timely medical records using Cerner EHR

• Ensure patient safety and quality of care

• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures


Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice in Pennsylvania

• Familiarity with Cerner EHR system preferred

• Ability to work in a high-volume environment (avg. 65 cases/day, 350 cases/week)

• Experience with surgical oncology cases preferred

• Strong communication and teamwork skills essential

• Will not work solo; always part of a team
