Responsibilities and Duties
Provide clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards and clinical privileges
Administer safe, age-appropriate anesthesia for surgeries and medical procedures
Monitor patients during anesthesia and throughout perioperative periods
Conduct and document pre- and post-anesthetic evaluations
Obtain informed consent for anesthesia
Oversee induction, maintenance, emergence, and post-anesthesia care
Consult on airway management and participate in codes as directed by supervising anesthesiologist
Support and assist residents and medical students on anesthesia rotations
Report to and coordinate with nurse manager/director/clinical leader
Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nurses, and healthcare team members
Ensure patient safety and integrate evidence-based practices into nursing care
Engage in ongoing professional development and leadership activities
Additional Information
Graduate of a nurse anesthesia program accredited by the AANA Council of Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs required
Active licensure in Oklahoma
Board certification in Anesthesiology required
Current BLS (AHA), ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Experience with Epic EMR preferred
