Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist specializing in Anesthesiology for a 130-day locum tenens assignment in Oklahoma. This full-time opportunity begins on Apr 6, 2026, with approved day shifts (4 x 10s, 5 x 10s, or four to five 12-hour shifts weekly). The CRNA will provide safe, age-appropriate anesthesia care, including administration, monitoring, and perioperative patient evaluations, within established clinical guidelines.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide anesthesia and monitoring for patients during surgeries and other medical procedures
  • Conduct and document pre- and post-anesthetic evaluations
  • Obtain informed consent for anesthesia procedures
  • Deliver induction, maintenance, emergence, and post-anesthesia care
  • Consult on airway management and participate in codes as directed by a supervising anesthesiologist
  • Offer supportive assistance to residents and medical students on anesthesia rotations
  • Deliver competent clinical nursing care in line with professional standards
  • Report to nurse manager/director/clinical leader and coordinate patient care in a hospital setting
  • Foster a learning environment for patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Ensure patient safety and integrate evidence-based practices into care
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and team leadership
  • Appropriately delegate and collaborate with inter-professional care teams


Additional Information

  • Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia education program required (AANA Council of Accreditation)
  • Active RN and APRN license with prescriptive authority in Oklahoma required
  • Must have successfully passed the national certifying examination within one year of completing didactic and clinical requirements
  • NBCRNA certification required
  • Certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS
  • Experience with the Epic EMR system is necessary
