We are seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist specializing in Anesthesiology for a locum tenens assignment in New Mexico. This opportunity begins on Sep 29, 2025, offers a 36-week contract, and features a 2-weeks-on, 1-week-off rotation with varying 8-hour shifts. The position involves coverage for a range of surgical cases within a two-OR setting, serving primarily adult patients.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide anesthesia care for up to 5 cases per day, including OB/GYN, general surgery, orthopedic, and urology procedures
  • Manage anesthesia services in 2 operating rooms and 1 procedure room
  • Perform intubation and central line placement
  • Deliver anesthesia primarily to adult patients, with very limited pediatric cases
  • Handle OB cases with a volume of less than 25 per month
  • Ensure safe and effective anesthetic management throughout perioperative periods


Additional Information

  • Active NM license, CSR, and NM DEA required
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Obstetrics anesthesia
  • Strong clinical skills in intubation and central line insertion
