Job Description

 Wellhart is seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a 96-day locum tenens assignment at a hospital in North Carolina. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with a variety of cases including general surgery, obstetrics, orthopedics, endoscopy, GI, urology, and pediatric ENT (2+ years old). This opportunity begins on 10/27/2025, with flexible scheduling options of either 5x8 or 4x10 shifts. The workday typically starts at 6:45 AM with case start times at 7:00 AM, and end times varying between 3:00 PM, 5:00 PM, or 7:00 PM. The selected CRNA will provide high-quality anesthesia care, collaborate with the healthcare team, and ensure patient safety throughout surgical procedures. Proficiency in Epic EHR and Pixas systems is required. There is potential for assignment extension for the right candidate.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Administer anesthesia for a wide range of surgical procedures

• Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and develop appropriate anesthesia plans

• Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia as needed during procedures

• Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and other healthcare professionals

• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and hospital policies

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Epic EHR and Pixas systems

• Provide post-anesthesia care and monitor patients' recovery

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities

• Adapt to working with a lower-income population, including patients with high BMI and higher ASA levels


Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice in North Carolina

• Experience with a diverse range of surgical procedures strongly preferred

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required

• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and patient needs

• Will float to PMC one day every month or two months

• 8-hour shift guarantee

• MDAs will perform all spinals, epidurals, nerve blocks, upper/lower blocks, and fiber optics
