We are seeking a skilled Anesthetist for a 90-day assignment in Michigan, starting May 25, 2026. This role involves administering anesthesia for general, neurosurgical, and various other procedures for adult and pediatric patients in a Trauma Center. The schedule includes 32-40 hours per week, with shifts of 8 or 10 hours, requiring work on either Monday or Friday each week, and no on-call duties are required.
Responsibilities and Duties
Administer anesthesia for general surgical procedures for both adult and pediatric patients.
Provide anesthesia care for neurosurgical cases, ensuring proper management of neurological status pre- and post-procedure.
Perform spinal anesthesia and local infiltration anesthesia as required by surgical procedures.
Manage ventilation and monitor respiratory status throughout the surgical process.
Deliver anesthesia under direct supervision in a collaborative environment with anesthesiologists and surgical teams.
Maintain continuous patient monitoring throughout the perioperative phase (pre-op, intra-op, and post-op).
Utilize Epic EMR for all documentation and anesthesia records.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedural protocols, and safety standards.
Operate within a hospital-based setting designated as a Trauma Center.
Contribute to a daily volume of approximately 50 surgical cases.
Work alongside a team in multiple operating rooms, with rotating assignments based on need.
Respond to emergencies and provide airway management, including intubation if needed.
