Job Description

We are seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Michigan, starting on Oct. 20, 2025. The schedule includes day shifts from Monday to Friday, with potential weekend hours, although rare. This role involves handling a wide range of ANE cases including Ortho, GI, Vascular, and more, in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Administer anesthesia and anesthesia-related care in collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, dentists, podiatrists, and other qualified healthcare professionals.
  • Prepare patients for anesthesia by explaining any risks or side effects.
  • Perform pre-anesthetic screenings, including physical evaluations and patient interviews, and document results.
  • Select, prepare, or use equipment, monitors, supplies, or drugs for the administration of anesthetics.
  • Monitor patient responses to anesthesia or surgery and adjust anesthetic plans accordingly.
  • Respond to emergency situations by providing airway management, administering emergency fluids or drugs, or using basic or advanced cardiac life support techniques.

Additional Information

  • Active MI state license or Compact License required.
  • Board certified in Anesthesiology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • COVID-19 vaccination required.
