Job Description

Our client in Maine is seeking a skilled Anesthetist for an engaging locum tenens assignment starting Aug 31, 2026. This role involves working independently from 7am-5pm to support intubation, sedation, and IV procedures across general surgery, orthopedic, and podiatry cases. The Anesthetist will also provide occasional support for ER trauma cases, ensuring comprehensive patient care within a dynamic operating room environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Independently perform and support intubation, sedation, and IV procedures.
• Manage anesthesia for general surgery, orthopedic, and podiatry cases, including nerve blocks.
• Provide coverage across three operating rooms, including one dedicated to scope procedures.
• Assist the emergency department with trauma cases when needed.
