Job Description

 Wellhart is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) specializing in Anesthesiology for a locum tenens position in Maine. This assignment spans multiple periods from February 2026 to January 2027, totaling 25 days of coverage. The CRNA will work 7am-3pm shifts with on-call requirements to be determined. The role involves supporting various surgical specialties including orthopedics, gynecology, podiatry, general surgery, and labor and delivery. The provider must be comfortable with intubation, sedation, and IV administration. Proficiency in Cerner EMR is required. This position offers potential for extension beyond the initial assignment dates.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide anesthesia care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures

• Support orthopedic, gynecological, podiatric, and general surgeries

• Assist with labor and delivery cases

• Perform intubations, administer sedation, and manage IV therapies

• Work in a hospital setting with 3 operating rooms, including a dedicated scope room

• Utilize Cerner EMR system for patient documentation

• Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals

• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures

• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of anesthesia practices and techniques


Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice in Maine

• Experience in a variety of surgical specialties is preferred
