Job Description

 We are seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) specializing in Anesthesiology for a locum tenens position at a hospital in Maine. This 37-day assignment spans from October to December, covering specific dates in each month. The CRNA will work Monday through Thursday from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with on-call duties from 1-3 days. The provider will support various surgical procedures, including orthopedics, gynecology, podiatry, and general surgery. Responsibilities include intubation, sedation, and IV support across three operating rooms, one of which is designated for scopes. Proficiency with the Cerner system is required. This opportunity offers the potential for extension beyond the initial assignment.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide anesthesia care for various surgical procedures, including orthopedics, obstetrics, gynecology, podiatry, and general surgery

• Perform intubations, administer sedation, and manage IV support

• Work effectively in a three-operating room environment, including a dedicated scope room

• Utilize the Cerner electronic health record system

• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient care and safety

• Maintain flexibility to cover on-call shifts as needed

• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards of care
