Job Description

We are seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist specializing in Anesthesiology for a 30-day locum tenens assignment in Illinois, starting Dec 1, 2025. This position offers a Monday to Friday schedule, 7:00am to 3:30pm, no call, and no weekend shifts. The assignment serves all ages, with a focus on relatively healthy pediatric and adult patients, and is structured as a working interview with the potential to transition to a permanent role.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide anesthesia care for all age groups, including relatively healthy pediatric patients (no PICU or NICU responsibilities; high-acuity peds and neonates are transported)
  • Deliver anesthesia services across a range of surgical specialties, such as orthopedics, low-acuity pediatrics, trauma, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, obstetrics, general surgery, ENT, endoscopies, total joints, urology, and cystoscopies
  • Collaborate with physicians, who perform all blocks and cardiac cases
  • Adapt to working in multiple departments with a willingness to learn new areas as needed
  • Clearly communicate areas of experience and interest, and work with the team to address skill gaps
  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered anesthesia care while adhering to facility protocols
