Job Description

 Wellhart is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens position in Illinois. This exciting opportunity offers a 100-day assignment starting on 10/27/2025, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 7 am to 3:30 pm. The CRNA will rotate between a Trauma Hospital and a Surgery Center, providing anesthesia services for a diverse case mix including orthopedics, general surgery, vascular surgery, OB/GYN, and more. The role requires epidural placement experience or willingness to be proctored. This position offers a comprehensive work experience in a care team model with 3:1 supervision and the potential for extension.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide anesthesia services in both hospital and surgery center settings

• Rotate through various service lines, including a very active labor service

• Place epidurals or be willing to proctor with prior experience

• Work within a care team model with 3:1 supervision

• Manage anesthesia for a diverse case mix, including orthopedics, general surgery, vascular surgery, bariatrics, OB/GYN, and more

• Adapt to different surgical environments and case types

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care and safety

• Maintain accurate and timely medical records

• Adhere to all hospital and surgery center protocols and safety standards


Additional Information:

• No call or weekend shifts required

• 30-minute break provided daily

• Opportunity to work with advanced surgical technologies, including Da-Vinci robotic system

• Facility uses iPro EMR system, transitioning to Epic in Spring 2026

• Illinois license required
