Job Description

We are seeking an Anesthetist for a 100-day assignment in Florida, beginning Jan 11, 2027. The schedule typically runs from 7 AM to 3 PM, with no call or weekend requirements. The role involves working within a collaborative care team model, primarily focusing on general surgery and orthopedic cases across both hospital and surgery center settings, including total joint procedures under spinal anesthesia.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide anesthesia services within a medical direction care team model.
• Manage a variety of cases, including general surgery, orthopedics, GYN, GI, urology, podiatry, ENT, and neuro.
• Primarily staff operating rooms while physicians perform blocks prior to case completion.
• Administer spinal anesthesia for total joint procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and other advanced practice providers to manage OR flow and patient readiness.
• Participate in a fast-paced environment, working collaboratively to complete cases efficiently.

Additional Information

• Board certification is required.
• An active Florida license is required.
• Cross-credentialing is required.
• Expected credentialing time is approximately 90 days.
• EMR systems used include Cerner in hospitals and SIS in the surgery center.
• The assignment features no call or weekend shifts.
• Work settings include both hospital and surgery center environments, with the surgery center focusing 100% on orthopedics.
• The practice model emphasizes a collaborative medical direction approach.
