Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Anesthetist for an appealing 100-day assignment in Florida. This role offers a consistent Monday to Friday schedule, 7 AM to 3 PM, with no call or weekend responsibilities, requiring availability for 20 shifts per month. The successful candidate will manage a diverse range of cases including orthopedic, general, GYN, GI, urology, podiatry, ENT, and neuro procedures in both hospital and surgery center settings, collaborating within a care team model under medical direction.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide anesthesia for a broad spectrum of cases including general surgery, orthopedic, GYN, GI, urology, podiatry, ENT, and neuro procedures.
- Specialize in 100% orthopedic cases within the surgery center environment.
- Perform total joint procedures under spinal anesthesia.
- Participate in a collaborative care team model, primarily under medical direction.
- Collaborate with physicians to manage OR flow and patient readiness.
- Maintain a strict no call, no weekend work schedule.
Additional Information
- Active Florida medical license required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications needed.
- Credentialing across multiple facilities, including Ascension St. Vincent Clay County, Riverside, Southside, and St. Johns County.
- Primary EMR systems are Cerner (hospital) and SIS (surgery center).
- Work setting is primarily outpatient.
- No call responsibilities.
- Anticipate seeing 5+ patients per day, dependent on room designation.
- Assignment Length: 100 days.
- Staffing Mix: Care team model with a 1:3 or 1:4 ratio.
- Average credentialing time: 90 days.
