Job Description

 Wellhart is seeking a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) for a locum tenens position in Florida. This exciting opportunity offers a 6+ month assignment starting on 01/12/2026, with a potential for extension. The ideal candidate will work in a clinic setting, providing medical direction for various cases including General, Ortho, Urology, ENT, GI, Spine, and GYN procedures. The work schedule is flexible, with options for 4x10, 5x8, 4x12, or 5x10 shifts. The CAA will be responsible for delivering high-quality anesthesia care, collaborating with the healthcare team, and ensuring patient safety throughout surgical procedures. This role requires proficiency in Epic electronic health record system and an active Florida medical license.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide anesthesia care for a variety of surgical procedures, including General, Ortho, Urology, ENT, GI, Spine, and GYN cases
  • Conduct pre-anesthetic evaluations and develop appropriate anesthesia plans
  • Administer and monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures
  • Manage patient recovery in the post-anesthesia care unit
  • Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Epic electronic health record system
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
