Job Description

We are seeking a Hematologist/Oncologist for a 22-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Dec 1, 2025. This role features a Monday through Thursday schedule, 7:30AM to 5:30PM with night call, followed by 24-hour remote call coverage Friday through Sunday. The assignment involves comprehensive care for hematology and oncology patients in both clinic and infusion center settings.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Oversee all aspects of diagnosis, staging, precision medicine, symptom management, and treatment of hematology and oncology patients
  • Provide MD oversight for both the oncology/hematology clinic and infusion services
  • Remain onsite at the infusion center for all treatments, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood and platelet transfusions, hormone therapy, antibiotic therapy, rheumatoid arthritis injections, and therapeutic phlebotomies


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Hematology and Medical Oncology preferred; Board Eligible considered
  • Will consider candidates boarded in either Oncology or Hematology
  • Active California state license required
  • Medical Oncology Fellowship required
  • CA DEA, BLS, and ACLS certifications required
  • Malpractice insurance highly preferred
  • Availability at time of name clear required
