Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide inpatient rounding and consultations
• Read and interpret cardiac imaging studies
• Perform transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs) as needed
• Proctor stress tests occasionally
• Manage cardiac emergencies, including potential aortic dissections
• Collaborate with a PA-C during morning rounds
• Utilize Cerner and Epic EMR systems for patient documentation and care coordination
• Provide off-site call coverage, managing most cases via phone
• Triage and assess the need for in-person interventions during call hours
• Occasionally cover call and clinic during the day on Fridays (8 am-5 pm)
• Adapt to the workflow of a Trauma center
• Stay current with the latest advancements in cardiology techniques and technologies
