Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Surgery - Urology Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This opportunity begins on Feb 6, 2026, for a 48-day assignment with a flexible schedule that includes 24-hour call shifts one to two times per week and occasional 12-hour day shifts. The Nurse Practitioner will practice independently while collaborating with a supervising physician and must be comfortable assisting in urology surgical procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Practice independently with physician collaboration in a urology setting
  • First assist in urology surgical procedures as needed
  • Provide patient assessments, develop care plans, and manage patient care
  • Respond to call coverage requirements as scheduled
  • Document clinical activities in accordance with facility protocols
  • Adhere to all regulatory, licensure, and professional standards

Additional Information
  • Must have at least 1 year of relevant experience
  • Active Nurse Practitioner license required for North Carolina
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
