Job Description

We are seeking an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens opportunity in Massachusetts. This assignment begins on Dec 1, 2025, spans 8 weeks, and offers flexible scheduling—log on at your discretion to see patients and adjust your hours to reach your desired volume. This position is ideal for Nurse Practitioners with previous urgent care experience who are comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, virtual care environment.

Job Details

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Conduct virtual urgent care visits using PC, Mac, iPhone, or iPad
  • Respond to patient alerts and begin assessments via Skype screening
  • Complete patient assessments within 10-15 minutes per visit
  • See approximately 3-5 patients per hour (volume may vary)
  • Ensure all patient charts are closed within 24 hours of visit completion
  • Maintain high standards of documentation and patient care
  • Collaborate with other providers as needed in a virtual setting

Additional Information
  • Previous urgent care experience preferred
  • Must hold an active Nurse Practitioner license in Massachusetts
  • Ability to work independently and manage patient flow efficiently
