Physician - Trauma Surgeon

Job Description

We are seeking a Physician, specializing as a Trauma Surgeon, for a 40-day assignment in Michigan, starting Jun 23, 2026. This role involves managing inpatient admissions and consults for trauma, general surgery, and urology, responding to trauma cases, acting as hospital wide first call for all inpatient surgical services, and performing various procedures including suturing, central lines, art lines, and tube placement.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage inpatient admissions and consults for trauma, general surgery and urology
• Respond to traumas, perform admissions/H&P/Consults
• Acting as hospital wide first call for all inpatient surgical services (general surgery, trauma, ortho, urology, colorectal)
• Proficient in suturing, central lines, art lines, and tube placement
• Evaluate general surgical & trauma consults/admissions and discuss with on call general surgeon
• Board any surgical cases
• Urology admissions/consults/board cases for surgery
• Troubleshoot foley catheters/troubleshoot continuous bladder irrigation/assist with set up for bedside procedure if surgeon is needed
• Proctoring- Minimum 5 per procedure
