Job Description

We are seeking a board-certified Pulmonologist for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in New York starting Jan 26, 2026. This outpatient-only role features day shifts, Monday through Friday, with no call or inpatient responsibilities. Preferred availability is three weeks per month, and the schedule runs from 8am to 5pm.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide outpatient pulmonary consultations and ongoing care for new and follow-up patients (average 14-18 patients per day)
  • Perform thoracentesis, bronchoscopy, and EBUS procedures as qualified (bronchoscopy not required for this role)
  • Outpatient thoracentesis is desirable but not mandatory
  • See sleep patients in addition to pulmonary patients if qualified
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Adhere to all clinical protocols and best practices


Additional Information

  • Must be board certified in Pulmonary Disease
  • Must hold a valid New York medical license
  • Procedures are not required, though capability in thoracentesis, bronchoscopy, and EBUS is desirable
  • No call or inpatient duties
