Job Description

Our client in WV is seeking a skilled Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Physician for an 18-day assignment starting Nov 6, 2026. This role involves 24-hour shifts, focusing on daily rounds with residents and nurse practitioners, and triaging transfer center phone calls for pediatric patients to determine appropriate care settings.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform daily rounds with one resident, one nurse practitioner, and medical students.
  • Residents and NPs are responsible for daily notes; the attending Physician can do a separate note or attest their note.
  • Triage transfer center phone calls for pediatric patients.
  • Determine whether patients should go to the ER, pediatric floor, or PICU (NICU manages their own transfer calls).
