Job Description

We are seeking a Board Certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist for a 4-day locum tenens assignment in Virginia starting Nov 27, 2025. This role involves 24-hour shifts from 7am to 7am and includes weekend and on-call requirements. The assignment focuses on labor and delivery coverage, including management of a wide range of obstetric and gynecologic cases.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage and perform C-sections and vaginal deliveries
  • Conduct suction D&C procedures
  • Treat ectopic pregnancies and ovarian torsion
  • Address abnormal bleeding cases
  • Provide care for unreferred patients as the Laborist
  • Deliver comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care during assigned shifts


Additional Information

  • Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology required
  • Active Virginia medical license required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), DEA, and ABOG certifications required
  • Provider must be local; only mileage is reimbursed
