Job Description

Our client in Iowa is actively seeking an Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician for a 14-day assignment beginning May 29, 2026. This vital role involves overseeing the labor and delivery unit, performing various deliveries, and managing both high and low-risk obstetric evaluations, alongside urgent gynecological consultations, with a schedule structured around 24-hour call shifts, approximately 6.5 per month.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Oversee the labor and delivery unit, ensuring comprehensive patient care.
  • Triage patients effectively to prioritize urgent needs.
  • Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries as required.
  • Manage high and low-risk obstetric evaluations and emergencies.
  • Conduct urgent gynecological consultations and surgeries.
  • Provide education and mentorship to residents and staff.
  • Collaborate with OB/GYN peers on complex surgical cases when necessary.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required.
  • Facility utilizes Epic EMR.
