Job Description

We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Neonatologist for a 9-day locum tenens assignment in California starting Jan 11, 2026. This ongoing opportunity requires 24-hour call coverage in the NICU from the 11th to the 20th (ending the morning of the 21st) of every month.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Round daily in the NICU
  • Provide on-call coverage for nursing staff and respond to patient needs at the hospital as required
  • No nursery rounding; pediatric hospitalists manage the nursery
  • Deliver high-quality neonatal and perinatal medicine care in accordance with current standards


Additional Information

  • Board Certified or Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine required
  • California medical license required
  • BLS, NRP, and DEA certifications required during credentialing
  • Must be listed as a paneled member of California Children Services at submission
  • Substantial recent experience in neonatology required
  • Clean malpractice history required
  • Must be available at time of name clear
