Job Description

We are seeking a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Virginia. This opportunity begins on Apr 6, 2026, and offers clinic coverage Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:15 pm, with nightly weekday call and 24-hour weekend call coverage. The physician will manage high-risk pregnancies and provide specialized maternal-fetal care in a dynamic clinical setting.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling
  • Manage cases involving pre-eclampsia, multiple pregnancy, fetal growth restriction, chromosomal and congenital abnormalities, pre-term labor, and hypertension
  • Address thrombophilia, genetic disorders, and birth defects
  • Oversee management of vaginal and cesarean births
  • Handle any fetal or maternal co-morbidities that make the pregnancy high risk
  • Provide cerclage procedures (preferred)


Additional Information

  • Fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine required
  • Board certification in Maternal-Fetal Medicine required
  • Active Virginia medical license required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
