We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Virginia. This opportunity begins on Mar 9, 2026, and offers Monday through Friday clinic coverage, with nightly weekday call and 24-hour weekend call. Candidates must hold a valid VA license and have completed a Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship. This ongoing assignment is ideal for physicians experienced in managing high-risk pregnancies and related procedures.


Job Details

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday clinic coverage 8:00am–4:15pm, nightly weekday call, and 24-hour weekend call coverage


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling
  • Manage cases involving cerclage (preferred), pre-eclampsia, and multiple pregnancies
  • Diagnose and treat fetal growth restriction, chromosomal and congenital abnormalities
  • Address pre-term labor, hypertension, thrombophilia, and genetic disorders
  • Oversee care for birth defects and any fetal or maternal co-morbidities associated with high-risk pregnancies
  • Provide care for both vaginal and cesarean births


Additional Information

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine required
  • Completion of a Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship required
  • VA medical license required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • AIUM certification preferred
