Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist for a 125-day locum tenens assignment in Texas beginning Jan 4, 2026. This opportunity features 24-hour call shifts with both GI procedures and ERCP requirements. Candidates must be board certified or eligible in Gastroenterology and licensed in Texas.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Perform general GI procedures including endoscopies and colonoscopies
  • Provide ERCP capability as required
  • Participate in rounding and manage inpatient cases
  • Diagnose and treat gastrointestinal conditions such as abdominal pain, GI bleeding, small bowel obstruction, food bolus impaction, ulceration, gastritis, and possible carcinoma

Additional Information
  • Gastroenterology board certification highly preferred; board eligible accepted
  • Texas state medical license required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
  • Clean malpractice history highly preferred
  • Availability for requested assignment dates is required
