Job Description

We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens assignment in Texas, starting Nov 10, 2025. This opportunity features 24-hour call coverage with shifts from 7 AM to 7 AM, filling in for gaps alongside a team of four providers. The schedule includes multiple block dates through the end of 2026 and consists of performing normal GI procedures, including endoscopies, colonoscopies, and ERCP.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide inpatient gastroenterology consultation and coverage
  • Perform GI procedures, including endoscopies and colonoscopies
  • Conduct ERCP as needed
  • Collaborate with care team for seamless patient management
  • Adhere to all hospital policies and standards of care


Additional Information

  • Gastroenterology board certification highly preferred; board eligible accepted
  • Active Texas state medical license required
  • Completion of a gastroenterology residency required
  • ACLS certification required
  • Clean malpractice history highly preferred
