Job Description

We are seeking a board-certified Gastroenterologist for a 150-day locum tenens assignment in Maine, starting Nov 17, 2025. This full-time opportunity involves day shifts, Monday through Friday, providing outpatient care to adults. Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide outpatient gastroenterology care to adult patients in a clinic setting
  • Perform lower GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy
  • Conduct upper GI endoscopy procedures, including biopsy, foreign body removal, banding of varices, and diagnostic interventions
  • Document and communicate findings and care plans
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure quality patient care


Additional Information

  • Board certification in Gastroenterology required (ABMS or AOA)
  • Active Maine medical license highly preferred; high-quality licensing candidates will be considered
  • Must hold current ACLS and BLS certifications
  • COVID and flu vaccination required
  • Provider must be available for the specific dates listed and able to commit long term
