Job Description

We are seeking a board certified or board eligible Gastroenterologist for a 30-day locum tenens assignment in Illinois beginning Dec 1, 2025. The schedule generally consists of 8am-5pm shifts, with some days potentially ending at 6pm, and includes weekend daytime call. This is an excellent opportunity for a Gastroenterologist interested in providing high-quality care on a short-term basis while supporting patient needs through locum coverage.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform comprehensive gastroenterology consultations and procedures
  • Manage inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology cases as required
  • Provide weekend daytime call coverage as scheduled
  • Coordinate with clinical staff and referring physicians to ensure continuity of care
  • Maintain accurate patient records and comply with credentialing requirements


Additional Information

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology required
  • Active Illinois medical license required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
  • Two professional references and completion of Stratum Med credentialing process required
  • Candidates must be clean and easy to credential
