We are seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day locum tenens assignment with our client in Oklahoma. This opportunity begins on Mar 2, 2026, with a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality care in a correctional setting and must be able to start as soon as possible based on expedited credentialing and ICE clearance requirements.

Responsibilities and Duties
Provide comprehensive nursing care, including executing physician orders, dispensing medications, and performing examinations and treatments
Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient clinical problems and healthcare needs
Record physical findings and formulate prognosis; discuss cases with physicians and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plans
Recommend drugs and other treatments within the scope of licensure
Monitor inpatient hospitalizations and ensure appropriate early release when indicated
Ensure cleanliness and organization of equipment and work areas
Oversee the provision of required contractual services
Maintain effective working relationships with facility staff and healthcare providers
Apply facility policies and exercise sound independent judgment in daily responsibilities
Evaluate medical services to prevent inappropriate or duplicate care
Maintain security and confidentiality of medical records; ensure documentation of all provided services
Monitor potential catastrophic illnesses and recommend interventions as needed
Audit pharmacy practices for formulary adherence and compliance with laws
Observe and document patient behavior
Accept on-call responsibilities as required
Provide health counseling and education individually or in groups
Interpret and process medical and legal documents according to regulations
Collaborate with corporate counsel on legal matters and attend court hearings as necessary
Participate in staff meetings and committee meetings to promote quality healthcare services
Engage in safety checks and recommend physical safety improvements for patients and staff
Additional Information
US citizenship required for ICE clearance; candidates are subject to background and credit investigation
Board eligible candidates may qualify for privileges
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Must have at least one year of professional nursing experience
