Responsibilities and Duties
Perform bronchoscopic procedures including navigational bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
Conduct robot-assisted thoracic surgery and video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS)
Execute segmentectomy, lobectomy, bilobectomy, pneumonectomy, thoracotomy, and decortication
Treat complex thoracic and pulmonary conditions such as achalasia, advanced lung disease (COPD and pulmonary fibrosis), anti-reflux surgery/GERD, Barrett’s esophagitis, chest wall tumors, diaphragm plication, diaphragmatic hernias, dysphagia, esophageal cancer, lung cancer, lung nodules, mediastinal masses, mesothelioma, pleural effusion, pneumothorax, rib fractures and plating, thoracic outlet syndrome, thymomas, tracheal stenosis, and tracheostomy
Additional Information
Active Virginia medical license required
Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
