Job Description

We are seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Kentucky, starting Feb 16, 2026. The role involves first assisting in CABG, AVR, MVR, and thoracotomy/lung resection cases, with 1-2 call days per week and one weekend per month, call from 7 am to 7 pm.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • First assist in CABG, AVR, MVR, and thoracotomy/lung resection cases
  • Perform vein harvesting and chest tube placement
  • Provide care and monitoring in the OR, telemetry, and ICU settings


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery required
  • Kentucky license required
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Clean malpractice history preferred
  • Availability at time of name clear highly preferred
