Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens assignment in Virginia, starting Dec 1, 2025, for a 24-week contract. This role features Monday through Friday in-house coverage from 7:00am to 3:00pm, with home call responsibilities during evenings and weekends. The assignment offers the opportunity to join a collaborative care team model, providing both independent and team-based anesthesia services in a dynamic hospital environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Deliver anesthesiology services in a hospital setting
  • Participate in a 1:4 care team model, performing own cases approximately 40% of the time
  • Provide in-house and home call coverage as scheduled
  • Ensure patient safety and high-quality anesthesia care
  • Collaborate with Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants and facility staff


Additional Information

  • Degree from an accredited residency program required
  • Must be Board Certified in Anesthesiology and participating in MOC
  • Active DEA and CSR required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
  • Must be licensed to practice in Virginia
